FREE SINGLE STREAM – newspaper, office paper, mixed paper including wrapping paper, bulk/junk mail, magazines, phone books, brown paper bags, glass bottles and jars, steel/tin cans, aluminum foil, pie tins, corrugated cardboard, chipboard (cereal/tissue boxes), empty aerosol cans, plastics #1-#7, plastic milk/water jugs, yogurt containers, butter tubs, detergent bottles, vitamin bottles – NO PLASTIC BAGS
METALS – Appliances (washers, dryers – NO refrigerators, gases or mercury), exercise equipment, scrap metal, bikes (non-refurbishable), ancient heavy-metal microwaves, tire wheels only– NO TIRES.
BIKES – those in good condition will be refurbished by Recycle Bicycles for reuse by underserved kids
MOBILITY DEVICES – crutches, canes, walkers, knee/leg braces, wheelchairs – donated to Crutches4Africa (Mountain Foothills Rotary)
STYROFOAM – #6 blocks. NO food containers, bubblewrap or “peanuts”. UPS in Conifer will take the bubblewrap and peanuts any time.
ELECTRONICS – CHARGES APPLY
~TV/Monitors – $1.00/inch diagonally
~$10 – Computer, monitor, laptop, fax, scanner, copier, multifunction, stereo, speaker (additional charges may apply for large systems)
~$5 – CPU, printer, modem, hard drive, radio, newer plastic microwave, DVD/VCR player/recorder, analog phone
~$5/box – CD/DVDs, floppy disks, audio/video tapes
~$3 – Large cameras
FREE – Answering machines, cell phones, keyboards, mice, cable, tiny cameras, small electronics (ipods, gameboys, walkmen, PDA, e-readers,
ipads), inkjet/printer cartridges.
NON ACCEPTABLE ITEMS
NO Household Hazardous Materials, Paints, Batteries, Mattresses
NO DOCUMENT SHREDDING, CLOTHING, SHOES OR TIRES this time – see us May 19, 2012 at Conifer High School Parking Lot and Conifer BigO Tires – stay tuned for details.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We need volunteers to set up, take down, direct traffic, help unload recyclables, complete price sheets for electronics, cashier, answer questions. Two shifts will be 8 til 11:30 AM and 11:30 AM til 3 PM. 2. January 7 and 14, 2012 Saturdays 8 am – 4 pm – CHRISTMAS TREES – EDS Transfer Station
Once again, you can recycle for FREE your “real” Christmas trees at the EDS Transfer Station (see address, phone and website link below).
~Trees must be bare – no stands, lights, ornaments, tinsel or garlands
~ No artificial or flocked trees
~Christmas trees only, no other trees can be accepted
~Cal 303-674-TREE (Lam Tree Service) for info on receiving free mulch.
