13th Annual Elevation Run/Walk – July 26, 2025
Registration opens in early Spring
Conifer Area Council and Conifer Lobos Unified Boosters jointly organize the Elevation Run/Walk that kicks off the weekend festivities of the Conifer community’s Elevation Celebration. The Elevation Run began in 2013 and has grown from 48 runners the first year to 330 in 2024. The 5K is a certified course with chip timing and the 10K is a great race when training for other high altitude trail runs.
The Elevation Run/Walk features a 10K Race through Meyer Ranch Park, and a 5K, and 2-mile Fun Run in a loop around the community. This event brings something for every runner or walker of all ages. The 5k certified course makes use of the Conifer Trails loop. The course takes you around the scenic Aspen Park neighborhoods, on paved and dirt roads, and trail running for the 10K’ers through Meyer Ranch Park. This is a great event for friends and families to support the Conifer High School’s teams and clubs and future trail connections throughout Conifer.
All proceeds from this event are split between Conifer Area Council’s Trails Team and Conifer Lobos Unified Boosters (CLUB). CLUB distributes funds to CHS teams and clubs though its grant program with funds raised by this and other events. Conifer Area Council’s Trails Team continues to work with Jefferson County offices of Transportation and Engineering and Open Space to provide future trails and connections around the mountain community. Funding from the Run provides the match necessary to obtain future trail grants.
